SUMTA Awarded SGA Student Organization of the Year – Undergraduate

The Shenandoah University Music Therapy Association (SUMTA) was awarded the Student Organization of the Year – Undergraduate award by Shenandoah University at the Student Government Association (SGA) Inauguration & Leadership Awards ceremony on Sunday, April 10, in the Ferrari Room of the Brandt Student Center.

“SUMTA has been an amazing part of the music therapy program this year, organizing and leading over 15 events for students, spearheading World Music Therapy Day programming, and contributing to the health of the community in so many different ways,” said Director of Music Therapy Studies, Coordinator of Graduate Music Therapy and Associate Professor of Music Therapy Tony Meadows, Ph.D., MT-BC. “They’ve served as a model for student leadership in the conservatory and university as a whole.”
