Bryant ’23 and Shegogue ’23 Complete First Transdisciplinary Clinical Placement with Physical Therapy Students

Kalysta Bryant ’23 (Bachelor of Music Therapy) and Jamie Shegogue ’23 (Bachelor of Music Therapy) recently completed the first transdisciplinary clinical placement with Shenandoah University physical therapy students in the Health Professions Building. This was part of a culminating research project for the physical therapy doctoral students, who examined the ways music therapists and physical therapists could work together in the same session and the benefits of that collaboration.

“It was a really wonderful collaboration and learning experience,” said Director of Music Therapy Studies, Coordinator of Graduate Music Therapy and Associate Professor of Music Therapy Anthony Meadows, Ph.D., MT-BC.
