Two New Staff Members Join Shenandoah Conservatory

Shenandoah Conservatory welcomes Arthur Vale ’17 (Bachelor of Music in Music Education) as box office manager and Brennan Sullivan as production manager of music facilities.

After teaching music in Virginia public schools for five years, Vale returned to Shenandoah University as the new box office manager in June. During his time as an undergraduate music education major, Vale performed in multiple large ensembles, as well as in the orchestra for the Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre (SSMT) productions of “The King and I,” “Mary Poppins,” “The Music Man” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” Vale also served as president and treasurer of the Kappa Epsilon chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, performing acts of service for the betterment of the conservatory bands. He brings his knowledge of the university as well as his experience as a musician and teacher to the box office to ensure an efficient and streamlined ticketing process.

Sullivan was recently hired as the production manager of music facilities beginning this fall. He is a musician and sound designer, and received his Bachelor of Science in Music Technology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. While in Asheville, he worked at Moog Music where he built and tested analog synthesizers. As production manager of music facilities, Sullivan will work with faculty, staff, students and guest artists to oversee the production logistics for the conservatory’s robust lineup of live music performances and events.
