Happy Diwali

Today is Diwali, the Hindu festival of light! It’s a day of feasting and prayer, focusing on the ways our communities are interconnected through the divine spark residing in every soul. Venerations to the Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, are made at temples and at home, in the midst of celebrations with oil lamps and firecrackers. Happy Diwali, and special greetings to all who are celebrating! For more information about Diwali, visit Hindu Life at Yale. Questions? Contact Ian Urriola at iurriola@su.edu.
