Bryant ’23 Awarded First Ben-Dov Family, Luminescence Foundation Music Therapy Scholarship

Kalysta Bryant ’23 (Bachelor of Music Therapy) was awarded the first Ben-Dov Family, Luminescence Foundation Music Therapy Scholarship. In partnership with A Place to Be, Bryant will receive a $12,000 scholarship that provides tuition support and a stipend to support their internship in A Place to Be’s Medical Music Therapy Internship with INOVA Healthcare.

“The Ben-Dov Family and the Luminescence Foundation are delighted to create a scholarship that makes it possible for students to undertake and complete their studies in Shenandoah Conservatory’s music therapy program with a reduced financial burden,” said Luminescence Foundation, Inc. President Zohar Ben-Dov.

“The Ben-Dov Family, Luminescence Foundation Music Therapy Scholarship is a visionary award,” said Shenandoah Conservatory Dean and Professor of Music Michael Stepniak, Ed.D. “It provides critical support to emerging music therapy practitioners, which helps raise the profile of Shenandoah Conservatory’s extraordinary music therapy program, and further strengthens the industry partnership between Shenandoah Conservatory and A Place To Be. We are most grateful for the vision and support provided by the Ben-Dovs.”
