Crockett Nominated for Three Wammie Music Awards

Adjunct Associate Professor of CCM Voice Alison Crockett, M.M., was nominated for three of Washington, D.C.’s Wammie Music Awards, including Best Jazz Album for “From Echoes of an Era Redux: My Father’s Record Collection Vol. 1,” Best Jazz Artist, and Best Jazz Song for “Them There Eyes.” Visit www.wammiesdc.org to learn more and vote.

Crockett also recently celebrated Nat King Cole with a full show at the Creative Cauldron in Falls Church, Virginia. She also presented a voice masterclass at Duke Ellington School of the Arts and was a panelist for the Pan American Vocology Association (PAVA) Riffing Around the World event. Crockett’s next major performance is at the Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival on Friday, Feb. 16.
