In addition to working for the NFL, the students will meet with several sports industry professionals and organizations to gain insights into the sports management industry. These include meetings and site visits with the Las Vegas Golden Knights (NHL), University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Athletics, Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC), Professional Bull Riders (PBR), and the Las Vegas Stadium Authority.

Dr. Wigley expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity.

This is a remarkable chance for our students. Not only will they work directly with the NFL, but they will also enhance their resumes. They will also get the chance to network, make valuable contacts, and acquire real-world knowledge about running sporting events, an experience they wouldn’t otherwise obtain.”

Dr. Brian Wigley, Department Chair for Sport & Entertainment, School of Business

Check out the Super Bowl LVII Experience wrap-up video to hear why students from last year’s trip felt the experiential learning experience was so valuable to them.

You always hear about networking but to actually to hear from people who have been successful in the industry was really beneficial.”
