Coulson Performs at SU, Explores Europe During Sabbatical

Associate Dean for Curriculum & Assessment and Professor of Theatre Carolyn Coulson, Ph.D., celebrated and explored her professional, academic, and personal passions in a variety of ways during her Spring 2024 sabbatical. She performed in “Henry V” at Shenandoah Conservatory; wrote and presented a paper at the International Medieval Congress in Leeds, UK; attended two international performance festivals; and expanded her knowledge of Roman and Renaissance theatre by visiting many archeological sites and historical theatres. She also attended a writer’s retreat in Tuscany and completed her first play, based on the life story of her grandmother.
