Lončar ’18 Records Videos with Guitar Salon International

Maya Lončar ’18 (Bachelor of Music in Performance) recently flew out to Guitar Salon International headquarters in Santa Monica, California, to record five videos. Artists are invited to come and perform five different pieces on five separate guitars to be recorded primarily for its YouTube page, which has over 110 million views. The company is the world’s largest dealer of concert-level classical and flamenco guitars. Four out of the five videos have been released:

Lončar is also a finalist in the upcoming Southern Guitar Competition and recently recorded her debut album in Toronto. Music is primarily by French composers such as Claude Debussy and Ida Presti, but also features artists such as Emilia Giuliani-Guglielmi and a composition by her own father, Miroslav Lončar. She plans to release it by the end of the year.

Lončar currently serves as the director of guitar and orchestra for Loudoun County Public Schools and is a board member and communications manager for Aguado Guitar Concerts.
