School of Business Supports Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 18 To Nov. 23

Free Events Highlight Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Shenandoah University School of Business celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 18 to Nov. 23, offering several free events at the Hazel-Pruitt Armory, home of the Hub for Innovators, Veterans and Entrepreneurs (HIVE).

Each November, the School of Business observes Global Entrepreneurship Week by focusing on the significant and diverse contributions entrepreneurs and small businesses make in driving global innovation and employment. This year’s events address several aspects of entrepreneurship, providing real-time, relevant information for participants at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey.”

The event lineup includes:

Esports Entrepreneurship Workshop
Monday, Nov. 18 | 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. | Esports Arena

Engage with Dr. Yolanda Shields as she explores the entrepreneurial side of the growing esports industry in this interactive workshop, and discover how to tap into this dynamic field.


Female Entrepreneurs Coffee Connect
Tuesday, Nov. 19 | 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. | The HIVE

Connect, share ideas, and discuss partnerships with fellow female entrepreneurs in a casual networking setting.

Veteran Entrepreneur Panel Conversation
Wednesday, Nov. 20 |12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. | The HIVE

Join a panel of veteran entrepreneurs as they share their journeys, challenges, and successes in building businesses.

The Hub for Innovators, Veterans and Entrepreneurs (HIVE), located in the Hazel-Pruitt Armory, a former Virginia Army National Guard armory building on Shenandoah University’s main campus in Winchester, Virginia, is a future-focused, boundary-breaking technology hub, innovation accelerator, and magnet location for tech business startup, expansion, and relocation.
