The Center for Global Education announced that 50 participants will travel to one of five international destinations: Colombia, Nepal, Poland, Taiwan, or Tanzania. The locations were unveiled during the 34th International Convocation on Nov. 20.

Representing the School of Business, GCP participants include:

  • Colombia: Emily Dendis ’26 (BBA, specializing in entrepreneurship)
  • Poland: Colin Benedict ’25 (BBA, specializing in economics and finance and a minor in theatre) and Diego Marcos, Ph.D., assistant professor of economics
  • Nepal: Prerana Bjracharya ’26 (BBA with a specialization in accounting), who will serve as a student-leader for the group traveling to her home country of Nepal
  • Taiwan: Jonah Medas ’27 (BBA with a specialization in sport management)

Two of the four students, Emily Dendis, a Flemington, New Jersey, resident, and Noah Medas, of Orange, Virginia, said this GCP experience will be their first opportunity to travel abroad.

I’ve visited 35 of the 50 United States, but I’ve never traveled out of the country. In addition to Colombia, we might go to the Caribbean, which is another destination I’ve always wanted to visit. So it’s kind of like a ‘two-in-one trip,’ which is exciting.”

Bajracharya, an international student from Nepal, shared her excitement about introducing others to her homeland.

Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is the city where I grew up. I’m looking forward to welcoming students from the United States to my country and for them to share in its culture and food.”

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the GCP has facilitated life-changing experiences for more than 1,400 students, staff, faculty, and trustees across 69 countries and seven U.S. states and territories since 2005.

The GCP offers a unique opportunity to explore diverse cultures, deepen self-awareness, and develop global perspectives. Learn more at su.edu/GCP.
