This year’s International Convocation took place in Hazel-Pruitt Armory, home of the Hub for Innovators, Veterans and Entrepreneurs. Guests were invited to explore the HIVE – where there was live music and drumming, a dance performance, international food and snacks, an information table for the International Student Association, and an opportunity to travel the world through virtual reality in the Shenandoah Center for Immersive Learning (SCiL) Lab – before Shenandoah University President Tracy Fitzsimmons, Ph.D., announced the GCP destinations.
A livestream recording of International Convocation is available on Shenandoah University’s YouTube channel.

Since its inaugural year in 2005, GCP has sent over 1,400 students, staff, faculty, and trustees to 69 countries and seven U.S. states and territories so that each participant might learn more about the world and themselves.
