Percussion Ensemble Tours Area High Schools

The Shenandoah Conservatory Percussion Ensemble went on a tour last month, performing in area high schools including McLean High School in McLean, Virginia, and Riverside High School in Leesburg, Virginia. Percussion students performed solo and chamber works by Viet Cuong, Julia Wolfe and others, and engaged in a Q&A focused on developing musical skills and preparing for college. The Percussion Ensemble is led by Assistant Professor of Percussion Karlyn R. Viña, D.M.A.
