On Aug. 12, Barbara Cramer Crouse (C ’66) published her third book, “By These I Am Formed,” which is available on Amazon (pictured right).

On Aug. 22, Stefan Youngblood (C ’85) wrote an article in Medium titled, “The Song Arrived Before the Musician Did.” 

Thomas Amoriello (C ’98) performed the national anthem at two Major League Baseball (MLB) games during the summer of 2026 including in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at American Family Field for Brewers fans and players, and later in Cleveland, Ohio at Progressive Field for Guardians fans. 

On Sept. 8, Jordan Zipser (C ’06) announced their candidacy for Staunton School Board in Staunton, Virginia.

On Aug. 19, Nathaniel Gumbs (C ’09) was announced as the director of Westminster’s Organ Program at Rider University in Lawrence Township, New Jersey. 

On Aug. 19, Ashley Cross (B ’14, ’16) and Darrell Thompson (AS ’16) became the first Shenandoah University inductees into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Hall of Fame. Cross played field hockey and lacrosse and Thompson played baseball at SU (pictured right).

On July 28, Avery Bargassé (C ’16, ’18) was appointed as the new assistant professor of musical theatre voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati, Ohio. 

On July 14, Taylor White (AS ’20) was announced as the director of marketing for the Greensboro Swarm, an NBA G league affiliated with the Charlotte Hornets, in Greensboro, North Carolina.

On Aug. 29, Jeremiah Hines (C ’22, ’24) performed “An Evening of Piano Duets in the Great Hall at Penn Alps,” with Huilin Shen on piano at Music at Penn Alps, in Grantsville, Maryland.

On Aug. 14, Gabrielle Izzett (AS ’23) was featured on the Podcast: Keep it Real with Sharon and the topic was “Keep Moving: Why Movement Matters at Every Age.”

On Aug. 28, Clint Curfman (C ’24) (stage name Clint Westwood) released his debut song “Put Your Hips Into It!” on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other streaming platforms.

On Aug. 26, Matt Conroy (AS ’26) was named the 2025-26 Region VI Male Student-Athlete of the Year by the Division III Commissioners Association.

On Aug. 13, Brian Burke (ANG) was named the Valley Baseball League North Coach of the Year following a championship season in Winchester, Virginia, where he served as the Royals manager.
