Pryor ’26 Awarded Hattie M. Strong Foundation Scholarship
Josh Pryor ’26 (Bachelor of Music in Music Education – Instrumental Emphasis) has received a scholarship from the Hattie M. Strong Foundation (HMSF) to help offset expenses during his student-teaching semester.
Pryor has demonstrated leadership throughout his time at Shenandoah Conservatory, including serving as drum major of the university’s marching band during the 2025/26 season. He is currently completing his student-teaching placements at Sterling Middle School in Loudoun County and Osbourn Park High School in Prince William County.
Established in 1928, the Hattie M. Strong Foundation supports aspiring educators through scholarships awarded to students enrolled in teacher-preparation programs at select partner institutions. The scholarships are designed to alleviate financial pressures during student teaching, when the demands of full-time classroom experience can limit opportunities for outside employment.
