How do I check in as a guest?
It is crucial that guests complete the COVID-19 symptom check form 48 hours prior to arriving on campus.
After parking, guests must check in at the Brandt Student Center parking lot. Shuttles will be available to transport guests from parking areas to the BSC
The checkpoint process upon arrival is as follows:
- Ticketing scan
- COVID-19 symptom checkpoint
- Security screening
When should I arrive for my ceremony?
Guests may start arriving one hour prior to the ceremony — we encourage guests to arrive 30 minutes to one hour prior to the ceremony in order to make sure that everyone processes through the checkpoints in a timely manner.
Graduates should arrive in full regalia 45 minutes prior to your assigned ceremony. Please park in the Henkel Hall, Allen Dining Hall or Health & Life Sciences Building parking lots and report to Smith Library Plaza for graduate check-in.
Will Commencement be live streamed?
All Commencement ceremonies will be streamed live on the university’s Facebook page, and can be viewed after the ceremonies there as well.
You can also join Commencement live on Zoom.
How do I get more than four guest tickets?
At the moment, we can only provide four tickets per graduate. Please know that we are doing our best to accommodate as many guests as possible while remaining within the guidance set out by the governor’s office. When the ticketing system opens, graduates who want to bring more than four guests will have an opportunity to join a waiting list for additional tickets. We will use this list to allocate additional tickets that become available. Families will also be able to watch ceremonies via Zoom, and links will be shared closer to each actual ceremony. We remain hopeful that the COVID-19 situation will improve and the state guidelines will be relaxed so that our graduates can celebrate commencement safely with all of their family and friends. We will keep everyone posted as we get additional information.
