Double Reed Day
Shenandoah Conservatory invites high school oboists and bassoonists from across the region to participate in Double Reed Day, a dynamic event celebrating double reed instruments. Highlights include special guest artists, dedicated sessions for oboists and bassoonists, engaging masterclasses, and a recital featuring Shenandoah Conservatory students, faculty, and guests. Attendees can also explore offerings from vendors and enjoy fun giveaways throughout the day.
Student who register and pay by the registration deadline will receive an SU Double Reed Day keepsake shirt. Registrations will receive instructions for online payment after completing registration.

Guest Artist
Aaron Pergram, bassoon
As a global performer, Dr. Aaron Pergram has appeared on stage with the World Master Orchestra (Shanghai), Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, Oregon Ballet Theatre, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (WA), Eugene Opera, Oregon Mozart Players, Oregon Festival of American Music, Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, Natchez Opera Festival, and many other ensembles. He has been a featured performer in China at several notable venues including the Suzhou Poly Grand Theatre, Jinji Lake Concert Hall, Shanghai Symphony Hall, and Hangzhou Grand Theater among others.

Financial Assistance
The $30 registration fee includes lunch, a t-shirt and admission to the full day of events.
Shenandoah Conservatory believes the arts are for everyone. Like all nonprofit arts organizations and higher education institutions, we strive to maintain our stewardship of limited resources and balanced budgets while intentionally removing barriers to participation and belonging. Full and partial scholarships are available to those who require financial assistance.
