Discussion with Author & Historian Valerie Still On Wednesday, Oct. 7, Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War Institute hosts a presentation and discussion with Valerie Still, author of the forthcoming book “Still Family: William Still and the Legacy of the Underground Railroad.” Still is a descendant of William Still, one of the Underground Railroad’s most significant figures.
