Shenandoah University’s McCormick Civil War Institute invites the community to the 162nd Anniversary Commemoration of the Battle of Cool Spring on Saturday, July 18, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Shenandoah University’s River Campus at Cool Spring Battlefield, 1400 Parker Lane, Bluemont, Virginia. The event will begin at the Lodge. This year’s special program, “Coming Like a Meteor”: Artillery at Cool Spring, is free and open to the public.
