Dual-Degree Bachelor’s Programs in Engineering

Yangtze Normal University (YZNU) and Shenandoah University (SU) offer two four-year dual-degree bachelor’s programs in engineering at YZNU’s main campus in Chongqing, China.

Launched in 2026, the programs combine YZNU’s engineering foundation with SU’s curriculum, faculty expertise, and academic standards. Through a bilingual learning environment, students study with faculty from both universities, with a substantial portion of Shenandoah coursework taught in English.

Students may pursue one of two undergraduate programs: Computer Engineering or Engineering Physics. Students who successfully fulfill the academic and degree requirements of both institutions earn bachelor’s degrees from both YZNU and SU.

The programs are officially approved by China’s Ministry of Education and provide students with an international educational experience that integrates technical knowledge, applied learning, and perspectives from two academic systems.
Graduates are prepared to pursue careers and advanced study in engineering, technology, manufacturing, automation, and related fields in an increasingly global environment.

Henan College of Transportation × Shenandoah University

Dual-Credential Program in Electronic Information Engineering Technology

Henan College of Transportation (HCT) and Shenandoah University (SU) offer a three-year program in Electronic Information Engineering Technology (EIET) at HCT’s East Campus in Zhengzhou, China.

Launched in 2025, the program combines HCT’s strengths in applied technical education and hands-on training with SU’s curriculum, faculty expertise, and academic standards. Through a bilingual learning environment, students receive instruction in engineering fundamentals and applied technologies, with at least one-third of the core coursework taught in English by SU faculty.

Students who successfully complete the program earn a three-year junior college degree from HCT and a Certificate in EIET from Shenandoah University.

The program is officially approved by China’s Ministry of Education. Qualified graduates may also pursue further study at Shenandoah University, subject to applicable admission, academic, and English-language requirements.

The program provides students with technical preparation, applied learning, and an international academic perspective for continued study and careers in information engineering and related fields.
