Nursing Mission Trip to Brazil/March 11th-19th 2017
The trip takes students to the Amazon River in Brazil, where they sail on the John Wesley Medical Mission Boat, stopping at villages along the way to provide health care. Contact the Office of Spiritual Life for more information.
Medical Mission Trip to Nicaragua / May 2017
During its annual trip to Leon, Nicaragua, the Shenandoah University Medical Mission Team will aid the impoverished families living in the spectacular mountain setting of Leon and Matagalpa. Graduate students in physician assistant studies and pharmacy serve in one of three rural clinics run by El Ayudante, a Christian mission organization. They gain clinical experience by providing medical care for people who would otherwise have none. They also make friends and learn about the root causes of poverty.
