Our students study in state-of-the-art facilities in our brand-new Health & Life Sciences Building. This includes an impressive cadaver lab where AT students get hands-on experience with the human body.
Athletic training program facilities also include several classrooms geared towards the Athletic Training student, including a field house equipped 1700 square-foot athletic training room, multi-media presentation rooms, and two separate training facilities. All classrooms are fully equipped with computer and LCD-monitors for video, slide and multi-media presentations.
Field experiences on-campus involve assignments to specific Shenandoah University sports teams to provide sports medicine care under the direct supervision of a NATA certified athletic trainer. Weekly interactions with team physicians are an integral part of the learning process.
Shenandoah University is a proud participant in the NCAA Division III Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Shenandoah has teams in 20 different sports, including football, offering a variety of clinical experiences to the students in the athletic training program. Sports medicine care is also delivered to the Dance and Performing Arts departments.
We also offer clinics outside of Shenandoah University.
