Shores ’99 Nominated for an Icelandic Music Award

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Production & Recording Technology Dan Shores ’99, B.M., was nominated for an Icelandic Music Award (an equivalent to the Grammy Awards in the United States). Shores has completed a lot of work there for the last few years and this is his first nomination. He is the only American name on the nominee list. He served as the engineer for the Record of the Year nominee, “Concurrence,” featuring the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra with Daniel Bjarnason conducting.

He also recorded three of the five albums nominated in the Album of the Year category: “Concurrence,” “South of the Circle” and “Vernacular.”
