Naumenko Featured in Two Grammy Award-Nominated Projects

Assistant Professor of Voice Fotina Naumenko, D.M.A., participated in two projects that received 2021 Grammy Award nominations:

In the category of Best Choral Performance, “Kastalsky: Requiem.” This was a large-scale collaboration under the baton of Leonard Slatkin and included the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the Cathedral Choral Society, The Clarion Choir, Kansas City Chorale and the Saint Tikhon Choir. Naumenko sang as a member of the Saint Tikhon Choir.

In the category of Best Classical Solo Vocal Album, “Smyth: The Prison.” This is the world premiere recording of Dame Ethel Smyth’s last large-scale work, “The Prison,” composed in 1930. Naumenko sang as part of the Experiential Chorus alongside the Experiential Orchestra under the direction of James Blachly.
