Takayama Presents Christmas Program at Japanese Ambassador’s Residence

Victor Brown Endowed Chair in Violin and Associate Professor of Violin Akemi Takayama, M.M., performed for the Ambassador of Japan at his residence on Dec. 21, 2020. She presented “An Evening of Christmas Music” with pianist Ryo Yanagitani, performing works by Chopin, Bach, Vivaldi, Kreisler and more.

Also during the fall 2020 semester, students in Takayama’s violin studio created a “Simple Gifts” video to highlight its members and show their gratitude for those who helped them achieve their goals despite the semester’s challenges.
