Naumenko Featured in 2021 Grammy Award-winning Album

“Ethel Smyth: The Prison,” a project featuring Assistant Professor of Voice Fotina Naumenko, D.M.A., won a 2021 Grammy Award in the category of Best Classical Solo Vocal Album. The world premiere recording of Dame Ethel Smyth’s last large-scale work has been garnering acclaim since its release last year, with Gramophone calling it “superbly performed” and the New York Times listing it in the “Best Classical Music Tracks of 2020.”

Naumenko sang as part of the Experiential Chorus alongside the Experiential Orchestra, under the direction of James Blachly.

“It was an honor and privilege to be a part of bringing Dame Ethel Smyth’s music to life on this album,” said Naumenko.
