Brady Named Harold Herman Chair in Musical Theatre

Associate Professor of Theatre and Music Director Patrick Brady has been named the Harold Herman Chair in Musical Theatre. The endowed chair provides Brady with additional financial support for related teaching and scholarship opportunities.

“With the enthusiastic support from program director Kevin Covert, it was a delight — and a no-brainer — to assign this endowed chair to professor Brady,” said Shenandoah Conservatory Dean and Professor of Music Michael Stepniak, Ed.D.

“Brady receives this honor not only because of the extraordinary knowledge and passion he brings to musical theatre classes and rehearsal rooms, but also because of the exceptional commitment he has shown to the development of student talent,” said Coordinator of Recruitment, Musical Theatre, Charles B. Levitin Chair in Musical Theatre Director, Director of Musical Theatre Program and Assistant Professor of Theatre Kevin Covert, B.F.A.
