Musical Theatre Faculty and Program Highlighted in New Book by Broadway Composer, Lyricist and Teacher Craig Carnelia

Coordinator of Recruitment, Musical Theatre, Charles B. Levitin Chair in Musical Theatre Director, Director of Musical Theatre Program and Assistant Professor of Theatre Kevin Covert, B.F.A., and the Shenandoah Conservatory musical theatre program were highlighted in “The Reason to Sing: A Guide to Acting While Singing,” a new book written by Broadway composer/lyricist and teacher Craig Carnelia. Covert notes that much of what he uses in his classroom was inspired by Carnelia.
