Alumni and Emeriti Faculty Represented in Renowned Gala Event

Cellist Jeremiah Shaw ’11 (Bachelor of Music in Music Production & Recording Technology) of Telegraph Quartet and Professor Emeritus of Composition and Musical Theatre Thomas Albert, D.M.A., were featured in a prestigious gala concert presented by the Walter W. Naumburg Foundation and Town Hall on Friday, Oct. 8, in New York City. The event celebrates 50 years of chamber music and includes an introduction by the foundation’s president Nicholas Mann and remarks by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Corigliano.

Featured performers include Naumburg-winning artists American, Brentano, Emerson, Pacifica and Telegraph string quartets; Eighth Blackbird; soprano Dawn Upshaw; clarinetist Charles Neidich and pianist Anton Nel.

The program includes the performance of a selected movement from Albert’s “Thirteen Ways.”
