Ergonomic Assessment From OT Students

Seeking SU volunteers! The Occupational Therapy students will be partnering with OT faculty to complete ergonomic assessment and recommended interventions for SU employees. Any employee who works primarily with a computer at a desk is eligible (current pain not required).

The ergonomic assessment includes:

  • measurement of current workstation (chair height, computer distance and tilt, depth, table height, etc.)
  • observation of interface between workstation and job task
  • risk analysis checklist
  • brief interview of any physical discomfort related to job task

Following the assessment, the student in collaboration with the faculty will provide the employee with the results of the risk analysis and outline recommendations they have. A report will be provided to the employee within one week following the student visit. Questions? Contact Eileen Scanlon at escanlon@su.edu.
