Composer Caroline Shaw in Residence at Shenandoah Conservatory

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw was featured as the 2021/22 Pulitzer Prize Composer series featured artist. She participated in a brief residency at the conservatory from Monday, April 11, through Wednesday, April 13. During her visit, Shaw worked with students in rehearsals with the Wind Ensemble, percussion studio, Conservatory Choir and more. She also participated in a composition masterclass and attended the EDGE Ensemble and Conservatory Choir concert at Bright Box Theater on Wednesday, April 13, in a special concert featuring her work. Her music was also performed earlier this month at the EDGE Ensemble, Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra concert on Saturday, April 2, in Armstrong Concert Hall.
