Ridenhour ’15 Serves as Associate Choreographer for Kings Dominion’s ‘Grand Carnivale’

Sarah Mawyer Ridenhour ’15 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) is the associate choreographer for Kings Dominion’s summer production of “Grand Carnivale.” She assisted with the main stage show “Royal Rhythms,” the opening and closing showcase, “The Spectacle of Color Parade” and “The Royal Send-Off.”

“Grand Carnivale” is the theme park’s global celebration with live entertainment, international food and more. Dancers are featured in “The Spectacle of Color Parade,” showcasing different countries, followed by “The Royal Send Off,” a high-energy block party. The celebration runs Saturday, June 25, through Sunday, July 10, 2022 (excluding Tuesdays).

This is Ridenhour’s second season working as associate choreographer (WinterFest 2019 and Carnivale 2022). She has previously performed in numerous shows over the last six years.

Ridenhour is joined by recent Shenandoah University graduates Jeneane Kraft ’21 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance), Kati Freeman ’21 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance), Kaila Noelle ’20 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre) and Kristina Tucker ’22 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance).
