Estaniel ’23 Selected for Kennedy Center Internship with the WNO

Vanessa Estaniel ’23 (Bachelor of Music in Performance) was selected for an internship at the Kennedy Center with the Washington National Opera (WNO)’s music education programs and productions area for the Fall 2022 term. Additionally, she was offered another assistant stage manager position with IN Series for its production of “Orpheus” which will be staged in Dupont Circle, an underground theatre.

“I am beyond honored to be a part of the Kennedy Center internship program,” said Estaniel. “I have the opportunity to work administratively with the Washington National Opera, which is the best of both worlds for me! Getting another chance to work with IN Series is a huge blessing that I am extremely grateful for. Being a part of their team has opened so many doors for me; I am glad they are not sick of me yet! They are amazing people to be around and I have learned so much from our last production. With these experiences, I plan to hone my existing skills in order to further succeed in my career and my future goal of establishing a performing arts school.”
