DanceWorks Chicago and Rivette ’21 Participate in Brief Residency at SU

The contemporary dance company DanceWorks Chicago participated in a half-day residency with the Shenandoah Conservatory dance program on Monday, Sept.12. The residency included masterclasses in contemporary dance, an informal showing with Q&A, and an opportunity to network with company members. Ashley Rivette ’21 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) is a current company member and was featured as part of the event.

“DanceWorks Chicago is a great company for young professional dancers to grow, mature and gain more experience and travel,” said Christina Halpin Chair in Dance, Chair of Dance Division and Associate Professor of Dance Maurice Fraga, M.F.A. “We have had many of our dance majors and alumni participate in their summer workshops over the past few years.”
