Viña Performs Bartók & Bernstein Program in Texas Following SU Presentation

Assistant Professor of Percussion Karlyn R. Viña, D.M.A., presented a masterclass at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and performed the Bartók & Bernstein program there with percussionist Ben Charles and Tarleton piano faculty, Dr. Leslie Spotz and Dr. J. Bradley Baker, right after the program was presented at Shenandoah University on Feb. 4.

Viña also presented the clinic “Expressivity and Musicality: Moving Beyond the Ink” and performed “Argoru VII” for solo vibraphone by Alvin Singleton as part of the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Indianapolis, Indiana, in November 2022.
