Wayne ’03 Hosts Dance Masterclasses for 90+ Conservatory Students

Anthony Wayne (Green) ’03 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre) returns to Shenandoah Conservatory on March 8 and March 9, to teach dance masterclasses for more than 90 dance and musical theatre majors.

Since graduating from Shenandoah, Wayne has had an extensive career on Broadway as well as a producer in New York City, including shows such as “A Chorus Line,” “Tootsie,” “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical,” “Pippin” and “Anything Goes.” He has also produced and toured his own production, “Mighty Real: A Fabulous Sylvester Musical.”

In addition, Wayne is the founder and executive director of Black Broadway Men, a nonprofit organization that celebrates, motivates and educates Black men of the Broadway and theatre community.

During his Shenandoah visit, he will share dances, music and knowledge from the shows in which he’s performed, and talk with students about what he’s learned during his career.
