O’Conor to Perform in Arizona, California, South Carolina, Ireland, Japan, South Korea During Summer Season

Distinguished Artist-in-Residence, Chair of Keyboard Division and Professor of Piano John O’Conor, Mus.D., will perform concerts in California during the latter part of May. In June, O’Conor will travel to South Korea for concerto performances at the Seoul Arts Center and in Incheon, as well as masterclasses at Seoul National University. He will then travel to Ireland for a piano recital followed by three weeks of engagements in the United States, including one week at the Southeastern Piano Festival in South Carolina to include a recital, masterclasses and chairing its Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition jury; a week at the Adamant Music School’s annual summer piano masterclasses; and a week at the Flagstaff Piano Festival in Arizona to include a recital, masterclasses and serving on the jury of its competition. After a week in Ireland, O’Conor will then travel in July back to Showa University of Music in Japan, where he has served as the visiting professor of piano for the past 15 years. He will spend most of August in Ireland with several recitals before returning to Shenandoah for the autumn semester.
