Hott ’24 Joins Virginia Army National Guard’s 29th Infantry Division Band

Nathan Hott ’24 (Bachelor of Music in Music Education) signed his contract on March 31 for the military after winning a job as a saxophone player in the Virginia Army National Guard’s 29th Infantry Division Band. Hott shipped off to Army Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina, on May 24. He will graduate from BCT in early August and will begin his senior year here at Shenandoah University. Hott will do the split-ops program: this summer at basic training and next summer, post-graduation, at the Armed Forces School of Music.
