Freeman ’21 Performs in ‘Grease’ with Royal Caribbean

After going on tour with “Sesame Street Live,” Kati Freeman ’21 (Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance) came home and began auditioning again. In May, she auditioned for “Grease” on Royal Caribbean in New York City, and received an offer several weeks later as a dancer/vocalist in the female ensemble, as well as cover for the role of Frenchy. After spending her summer performing at Kings Dominion for the second summer in a row, she headed to rehearsals for “Grease” at the Royal Caribbean Productions studios in Miami, Florida. After two months of rehearsals, she has finally boarded Harmony of The Seas.

“I cannot wait to spend the next eight months with this stellar group of people and performing this extraordinary show,” said Freeman. “I will be hand jiving my way through the western Caribbean through June 2024. I couldn’t be more grateful for the training, experiences and support Shenandoah has provided me to help prepare me for this opportunity.”
