Stokes and Schwarz Perform with Alaria Chamber Ensemble at Carnegie Hall

Coordinator of Strings and Professor of Bass Donovan Stokes, D.M., joined the Alaria Chamber Ensemble as a guest performer for a concert at Carnegie Hall in April with Associate Professor of Cello Julian Schwarz, M.M., who serves as one of the ensemble’s faculty coaches. Schwarz, along with pianist David Oei and violinist Yuri Vodovoz, presented the world premiere of Steven Christopher Sacco’s Piano Trio No. 3 (“Alaria”). The ensemble also presented Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G Minor, Op. 57 and Beethoven’s Septet in E-flat Major, Op. 20.
