Angel ’26 Wins First Prize in College Division of Sidney Forrest Clarinet Competition

Darian Angel ’26 (Bachelor of Music in Performance) won first prize in the College Division of the Sidney Forrest Clarinet Competition at the University of Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 27. The Sidney Forrest Clarinet Competition commemorates the significant influence of the renowned artist-teacher, Sidney Forrest (1918–2013). Mr. Forrest taught clarinet at The Peabody Institute for 40 years, Interlochen Center for the Arts for 45 summers, and The Catholic University of America for 50 years, reaching hundreds of students internationally.
