Become A 2025 FYS Mentor

Are you interested in developing a sense of community and creating a sense of belonging at Shenandoah University and beyond? Become a First-Year Seminar mentor! FYS student mentors assist faculty members by serving as advisers to first-year students during the transition into university life in one of the Fall 2025 FYS-Going Global sections. Each mentor acts as a liaison between the student and instructor and helps to build a “Class of 2029” community. Apply to become a Fall 2025 FYS mentor using this Google Form. Applications are open until Feb. 4. Questions? Contact fys@su.edu or stop by the FYS office in Cooley Hall, Room 120.
