Shenandoah University Celebrates Grand Reopening Of Campus Store
Partnership with Slingshot brings new look, expanded selection of merchandise to Shenandoah’s Campus Store

Shenandoah University celebrated the grand reopening of its campus store on Aug. 25, unveiling a newly redesigned space that features an expanded and more affordable selection of Hornet merchandise made possible through a collaboration with Slingshot, the university’s new campus store partner.

The reimagined store, located on the lower level of the Brandt Student Center, was designed to feel distinctly Shenandoah, with wood accents evoking the natural character of the Shenandoah Valley and large-scale murals showcasing the people, places and experiences that make up the fabric of the university. New seating at the back of the store invites students, families and visitors to spend time in the space.
Beyond bringing a new look and more variety to the campus store, Shenandoah’s partnership with Slingshot is enhancing how students receive their course materials. Slingshot provides an auto-fulfillment model for course materials, ensuring that every student has the materials they need – in the format of their choice – before the first day of class. Students who use this service are also able to apply their financial aid toward the purchase of course materials.
During the campus store’s ribbon-cutting ceremony, Shenandoah President Tracy Fitzsimmons, Ph.D., recognized the efforts of Senior Director of Academic Campus Services Jackie Hott, whose staff sabbatical research led to Shenandoah’s partnership with Slingshot.
