All SU locations will open at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29. Classes scheduled to begin before that time will be held virtually. Child Care Center opens at 9 a.m. Faculty/staff are permitted to bring their children to work if necessary. Supervisors/faculty should provide flexibility for those who may have difficulty getting to work/class.

Dr. Shillock is Emeritus Professor of English at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. He has earned awards for his contributions in teaching and the assessment of student learning.

Research:

Current research includes studies of film noir and one of its central characters, the femme fatale.

Personal Highlights:

For seven years, he was Head of Humanities and Assistant Academic Dean at Wilson College.

Fields of Expertise:

Areas of specialization include composition, critical theory, film, the history of ideas, narratology, and nineteenth century literature and culture.
