Professional Highlights
Lindsay Browning is an inspired educator with more than 20 years of experience in dance and more than 11 years as a professor, teaching undergraduate courses in modern, jazz, improvisation, composition and yoga.
After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Radford University in 2005, she began her professional performing arts career in Philadelphia. From 2005 to 2012, she performed with acclaimed East Coast companies including Group Motion Multimedia Dance Theatre, Tania Isaac Dance, Idiosyncrazy Productions, Olive Prince Dance, Wally Cardona Dance, Scrap Performance Group and White Box Theatre. During her time in Philadelphia, Browning was included as one of Dance Magazine’s Top 25 Choreographers to Watch. She also collaborated with renowned choreographers such as Susan Rethorst, Silvana Cardell, Jumatatu Poe, Megan Bridge, Brigitta Herman and Sebastian Mundheim.
In 2009, Browning joined the Opera Company of Philadelphia as a featured dancer, and in 2010, she traveled to Piacenza, Italy, to serve as choreographer and featured dancer in Teatro Municipal di Piacenza’s progressive production of “Romeo & Juliet.” From 2011 to 2017, following success on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” she toured internationally with magician Michael Grasso, performing progressive and visually stunning illusions on stage and screen.
Browning began her undergraduate teaching at Drexel University in 2015, where she has since instructed courses in modern, jazz, improvisation and yoga (both history and practice). She draws inspiration from her years immersed in the energy and artistry of the professional performing arts world and is passionate about sharing her love of movement and creation with Shenandoah Conservatory’s dedicated students. The year 2025 marks Browning’s 5th year as a part of Shenandoah’s Conservatory’s Dance Division.
In addition to her work in dance, Browning is an emerging fine art painter whose success continues to grow. Her work has been featured in collaboration with the international retailer Crate & Barrel, and she has presented solo exhibitions along the East Coast. Her paintings reflect the same sense of movement, emotion and connection that define her performance career, expanding her creative voice onto the canvas.
