Dr. Anwar earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from Griffith Business School, an AACSB and Equis-accredited business school in Queensland, Australia. In 2025, Shenandoah University honored Dr. Anwar by naming her the Lillian Cook Braun Endowed Chair in Accounting, recognizing her distinctive and significant contributions to the university in the areas of scholarship and teaching in the field of accounting. In addition, she actively contributes to the academic community through professional service roles, including serving on the editorial board of a peer-reviewed international journal.
