Clinical Education

Learn more about this program

Clinical education is a vital component of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) curriculum at Shenandoah University. Students begin clinical experiences in the first year of the program, with opportunities continuing through to graduation. Throughout their training, SUPT students are mentored by highly accomplished clinicians across diverse settings in both ambulatory and non-ambulatory care.

With over 900 affiliated sites, SUPT places its well-prepared students in clinical environments that span local, regional, national, and international locations. Aligned with the university’s mission, our clinical service opportunities continue to grow, offering students meaningful and expanding avenues to serve.

Graduates of the SUPT program are competent, entry-level generalist clinicians, well equipped to meet the dynamic and evolving demands of the physical therapy profession.
