Santa Arrives!

Barry Bostwick Is Here!

We began filming “Santa Girl,” on Shenandoah’s main campus on Thursday, Oct. 26, with shots at Racey Hall (a residence hall) featuring Barry Bostwick (Santa), Jennifer Stone (Cassie) and McKayla Witt (Pep)!

Barry’s flight was unexpectedly delayed on Wednesday, meaning that Friday’s production schedule started a little later than anticipated. However, Barry made it to set with the help of AES Limousine service, which waited, without complaint, to pick up Barry well after midnight on Thursday morning at Dulles International Airport, located about an hour away from Winchester.

While “Santa Girl,” is obviously a Christmas-oriented tale (elves are popping up in the strangest places on campus!), it’s extra awesome to have Barry and Jennifer on set at this somewhat spooky time of year, considering their past roles. Jennifer played Harper Finkle, the best friend of wizard Alex Russo (played by Selena Gomez) in “Wizards of Waverly Place.” And of course, Barry is a Halloween and midnight movie favorite around the world for his role as Brad Majors in the 1975 cult film “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Stay tuned, this creepy season isn’t completely absent from “Santa Girl.” Some upcoming scenes will include the feature film debut of a campus Halloween tradition!
