Grant Supports Musical Theatre Productions
Crescent Cities Charities Funding Assists With Two Shows’ Costs

A $10,000 grant from Crescent Cities Charities, Inc., is supporting two Shenandoah University musical theatre productions during the 2026-27 Conservatory Performs season.
The grant funds will help with the costs of scenery, costumes, lighting, sound, and properties for productions of the classic musical “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying” (Oct. 8-11) in October, and the “War and Peace”-inspired “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812” (Feb. 25-28).
This support, also, in turn allows Shenandoah Conservatory to provide financial aid and scholarship opportunities for students, especially those who are in need and located in underserved communities.
In the 2025-26 season, a Crescent Cities Charities grant supported musical theatre productions of “On the Town” and “Catch Me If You Can.
