Shoremount ’75, ’84 Honored at the VMEA In-Service at The Homestead

Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Education Paul E. Shoremount ’75, ’84, M.M.E., was honored at the Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) In-Service at The Homestead and inducted into Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association Hall of Fame.

“It is with great humility and honor to be selected into the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association Hall of Fame,” said Shoremount. “I’ve been blessed with wonderful students, administrations, band parents and colleagues. The greatest honor I have is to see my son and daughter-in-law continue in music education as they develop into fine teachers.”

Shoremount also serves as the conductor of the Clarke County Community Band and trombonist with Jumptown, a rhythm and blues soul band.
